As a HIPAA business associate, APS maintains emergency planning and response plans as required by the HIPAA Privacy Rule. These plans have been developed to ensure the privacy of the patient data we store and transmit as well as to ensure assertive recovery and continuation of business in the event of an emergency.

All data stored within the on-site servers and with the remote vendor is backed up regularly and available for restoration in the event of unexpected processing interruptions. All critical business systems are protected by full hardware redundancy, and on-site generator backup is capable of supporting all building functions. Recovery point objective and recovery time objective metrics strategically promote the recovery of data in the most efficient timeframe to minimize downtime.
