Our compliance guidelines begin with guidance from the Office of Inspector General (OIG), as outlined in its guidelines from the “Compliance Program Guidance for Third-Party Medical Billing Companies,” and become more stringent from there based on a corporate initiative to employ industry-leading standards in the areas of compliance and data security.

Beyond an active compliance program, APS undergoes annual or bi-annual SOC Audits, HIPAA Security Audits, PCI/DSS Audits and HITRUST Audits by independent third parties. We do this to supply peace of mind in a time when healthcare entities’ PHI, data and financial information are regularly held hostage by cybercriminals.
