On January 2, 2013 the President signed the American Taxpayer Relief Act. This Act delayed a mandatory 2% cut of Medicare’s payments to Physicians, clinical laboratories and other health care providers; salvaging nearly $11.1 billion in payments to providers. Congress now has until March 1, 2013 to rewrite this legislation or the mandated cuts will be enacted across the board. APS continues to monitor these cuts and will keep you updated as changes are made to Medicare’s fee schedule.
